The challenge

Latitude was running a slow WooCommerce store: heavy pages, a sluggish checkout, and a platform that strained under large orders - wholesale runs, corporate gifting and export sales. International customers were bouncing, and a chocolate brand shipping fresh from origin needed a shop that felt as premium as its product.

What we did

  • 1Audited the existing WooCommerce store to find what was slowing it down - plugin bloat, heavy scripts, and a theme not built for growth.
  • 2Rebuilt the shop on Shopify with a fast, mobile-first theme designed around the brand: craft chocolate, origin story and all.
  • 3Migrated products, customer data and order history across, with URLs and SEO preserved so existing pages and rankings kept working.
  • 4Set up the store to handle large orders smoothly - bulk quantities, streamlined checkout, and shipping configured from Uganda to international customers.
  • 5Optimised page speed and Core Web Vitals, then handed over with training so the Latitude team can run products and orders themselves.
